Enjoy our Classic holiday and live the excitment of Beijing, the 2008 Olympic City which hosted this major event. Visit the Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City, Tian'amen Square, Great Wall, and all the other sights to be enjoyed in Beijing. See also the Olympic Stadium (Birds Nest) and Water Cube.  You will have two days in which to explore the city on your own or ask us for suggestions.

Holiday Itinerary

Day 1 Beijing
On arrival you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.
You will be free for the remainder of the day. (No meal)

Day 2 Beijing (B)
Join a morning tour of Tian'anmen Square, the largest public square in the world, and the Palace Museum, known as the Forbidden City; the complex of imperial palaces were home to the emperors for over 500 years in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Some of the grand halls have been used as museums for fine collections of Chinese treasures. Afternoon you will be free at leisure.

Day 3 Beiing (B, L )
Join a full day excursion to the Great Wall - the landmark of China. It is one of the most amazing feats of human labour. After lunch, a visit to the Ming Tombs where the deceased emperors of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644AD) were buried. After the long day tour and walk on the Wall, you may want to have some relaxation and try an optional foot massage.

Day 4 Beiing (B)
This morning you will visit the Temple of Heaven, where the Ming and Qing emperors prayed for good harvests. It is the largest temple complex remaining in China today. You will also attend a 1 hour Taichi Class in the Temple of Heaven gardens. Afternoon is free at leisure or take optional tours.

Day 5 & 6 Beijing (B)
You will have these days free to explore Beijing by yourself. It is not difficult to get around, and we suggest taking public transport out to the Olympic Village to visit the Bird's Nest.

Day 7 Departure (B)
You will be free until your transfer to the airport for your homebound flight.
